New for fall, 2012!

J.V. and Varsity Football & Cheerleading Teams (5th thru 8th graders)

This fall brings an exciting change to the sports program at St. John of the Cross. Jr. Varsity and Varsity football have been added as new sports for boys in the 5th through 8th grades! All boys in these grades are welcome. There will be no tryouts—all boys who participate in the practices will make the team and get playing time. Above all else, this will be a safety first program. The boys will have the highest quality equipment, e.g., state of the art helmets, and will participate in the Suburban Parochial Football League, which has an excellent reputation and framework for assuring the safety of all players. The core principles of the program will be teamwork and fundamentals with a foundation based on safety, sportsmanship, and discipline.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact Football coordinator Jim Tarpy jim.tarpey@pandarg.com or Athletic Director Carl Rhineberger crhineberger@aol.com . Come out and register and help SJC football get off to a great start.
